Is she ready to potty train soon?
Hi! I have a 10 month old and I thought I’d shoot this question out there. The past 3 days she would wake up with a dry diaper and then eliminate about 30 min after waking up. Is this a sign she might be ready to potty train soon? If so, how would I go about doing that?😅

yes, get a tiny potty now, you won’t regret it. my kid is 2yrs and 3months old. We’ve been using a potty daily since she was 8 weeks old. This saved a tone of diapers, and kept her familiar with potty routines so that there was never a hard transition to using the potty independently. We used a “top hat” potty because it’s tiny and you can hold it in between your knees seated. In the past 2 years of using a potty, 90%of poops happened there. it’s sooo much better than a poopy diaper. if you have set occasions for peeing, it helps set a habit. pees in it when waking up, before bed, before we leave the house, and when we get home; then whenever she decides to on her own in between. we still use diapers, but very few. they mostly stay dry all day now.

Wow, ,[object Object], and@Anonymous
  • I’m super impressed. We started potty training our son at the two year mark and it was hard although he still learned pretty fast. But if you think they are ready, go for it. We got an Oxo travel potty for when we are out and about. We use these disposable bags to catch it. And of course lots of wipes. And then at home a spectate potty that can be used on its own or on a toilet. I’ll add the links below. Good luck! As Rachael mentioned, if you don’t have to change diapers, your life just got a whole lot easier!!!

i forgot to mention we also used sign language and sounds to associate with going to the potty. Look up elimination communication methods.

Good luck!

@AnonymousHi! I see you posted this in June. How are things progressing? Typically elimination communication is recommended for a child that age. But if you decided to wait, you can check out Good to Go: A Fresh Take on Potty Training for Today’s Intentional Parent available on Amazon
