Toddler Utensils
My 18 month old seems utensil curious lately. I think it’s time to start introducing fork and spoon. Any advice on how to start? Like should I do a fork + spoon or spork or any other suggestions on the type of products I should be looking for? Please share any products that worked well for your kids too.

Oh yeah, she’s definitely ready to start using utensils.
I personally prefer forks and spoons with metal heads rather than all-silicone or plastic. I’ve also found that the smaller the utensil, the more control kids tend to have.
We’ve really liked the pandaear style utensils for kids around 18 months to 2 years, but I’m sure there are tons of other great options out there too. Hope that helps!

Honestly there is a munchkin brand metal tip and plastic handle one that I love. The reason I recommend the metal tips is because even thought it’s easier to get hurt if you’re not careful, it is also easier to pickup the food, so every time she successfully stabs a piece of chicken, her confidence boosts, and that’s worth watching her extra carefully for
