Tips for managing candy after Halloween
My LO is about to wake up and I’ve got this huge pile of candy that I don’t know what to do with. How is everyone handling Halloween candy with their kids? Mine is 3 so I’m thinking of just hiding it and giving it away. Too much processed sugar. But not sure what type of reaction this will cause. I did it last year but my LO was only 2. It worked then but worried that it might cause a breakdown 😂

At that age we did one piece with lunch and one with an afternoon snack. And I gradually got rid of some behind the scenes, either we ate it ourselves or my husband brought some to work etc. So let them enjoy it a little at a time for a week or so.

💯 to what Kim said! We donate ours after letting the kids indulge for a week during lunch and after school.

OK, I like that approach. I think I’m gonna eat all the Gummies for myself.

My kids save a small amount and the majority we donate to a drive at their school where they send the candy to different groups. I also take some of it and use it for their advent calendar and Christmas stockings - so far they haven’t caught on lol!
